JR. HIGH AND SR. HIGH AGE ELIGIBILITY – all participants must be in school.
Grades Age
Jr. High 6-8 Participant has not turned 15 before start of 8th grade. Note - if participant is
15 before the start of 8th grade, participant can compete with the SR High Team.
Sr. High 9-12 Participant has not turned 19 before start of 12th grade. Note - if a participant is
19 before the start of his/her senior year, or graduated in December, he/she is
NOT eligible to compete at Regional Extravaganza.
Teams
1.) A District can bring AS MANY TEAMS AS THEY WISH, in any sport, to Extravaganza. Each team must be registered.
2.) If a district is unable to field a team but have players who would like to play at Extravaganza, register the players and let the Regional Athletic Director know who the players are for possible team placement.
3.) No player is allowed to play on two team sports. They may play a team sport and individual sports if scheduling will allow. Contact the Regional Athletic Director prior to Extravaganza with any questions.
Forfeits
A team will be disqualified from the Tournament if there is a forfeit (unless very unusual circumstances). The Regional Sports Director will make final decision.
Player Disqualification
If a player is ejected from a game, he/she is not allowed to play in another game until he/she has talked to the Regional Sports Director, in person. The decision will then be made if and when the player will be allowed to continue.
Coaches Meeting
All coaches are required to be at this meeting in the Heritage Room Saturday morning at 7:30 AM!

This meeting is mandatory! If you are not able to attend you MUST have a representative present.

TENNIS
Districts may bring as many players as are eligible to compete.
We will be playing individual tournaments: Jr. High Boys, Jr. High Girls, Sr. High Boys, and Sr. High Girls. Note: We must have 4 players to have a tournament.
CROSS COUNTRY & GOLF
Districts may bring as many players as are eligible to compete.
Please list male or female, Jr. High or Sr. High. Eighteen holes of golf will be played for ladies, men, Jr. High, and Sr. High.
TEAM SPORTS
Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Girls Volleyball
BASKETBALL
CLOCK
There will be two (15) minute halves. The clock will be a running clock. It will stop during a time-out; an injury; and on the whistle during the last two (2) minutes of each half.
There will be five (5) minutes for half time.
There will be three (3) minute overtime. The first two (2) minutes will be with a running clock and the last one (1) minute of clock will stop on the whistle.
There will be a ten (10) minute warm up between games.
TIMEOUTS
Each team will have a total of three (3) time-outs during regulation play. Each team will receive only one (1) time-out during overtime.
FOULS
Both individual and team fouls guidelines will be based on the Oklahoma Secondary School Athletic Association rules regarding eligibility. Bonus situation on the 7th one shot, 10th two shots.
SCHEDULE
We will not be able to delay the games. They must be played on time. A technical foul will be assessed for delay of game.
CONDUCT of Fans, Booster Clubs, Cheer Sections
There will be no distracting fans underneath or behind the goal during foul shots or any other game play.
There is to be no music either live or recorded during actual game play. Special demonstrations are to be limited to pre-game, timeouts, half time, and post-game periods.
Semi-Finals and finals SH Men’s, SH Women’s, and JH Men’s (as time permits).
There will be two 20-minute halves. The clock will be a running clock. It will stop during a time out and on the whistle during the last (2) minutes of each half.
There will be ten (10) minutes for half time.
MIXED FLAG FOOTBALL
GENERAL RULES
7 players is maximum number allowed to play. Can be male or female.
Must have at least 5 players to avoid forfeit.
There are no kickoffs. Ball will be spotted at 20 yard line.
Offensive team must have 1 lineman, to hike the ball to the quarterback, either in shotgun or under center. This is the only lineman needed.
The center becomes an eligible receiver after hiking the ball.
If the ball is handed off or passed beyond the line of scrimmage the defense will be allowed to rush at will.
Field is 80 yards long and 50 yards wide.
Flags are to be worn outside of shirt.
Shirts must be tucked in.
TIME
Two 20 minute halves with a running clock stopping in the last minute of each half.
There will be a 5 minute half time.
Each team will have 2 timeouts per half that do NOT carry over.
Offensive team has 30 seconds to run a play after ball is spotted.
SCORING
Touchdown is worth 6 points.
Extra-point conversion is worth 1 point and will be spotted at the 3 yard line, and run like a normal play from the line of scrimmage.
PUNTING
Offensive team must declare on 4th down to go or punt. NO rush on the punt.
No field goals will be allowed.
TURNOVERS
Interceptions can be returned.
Fumbles, laterals, snaps and pitches are down where they land with loss of down.
The ball may not be fumbled forward. If the ball is fumbled forward, it will be called down at the spot of the last step of the ball carrier, therefore eliminating the possibility of fumbling for a first down or touchdown.
PENALTIES
Any foul or abusive language will result in an automatic ejection, with a 15 yard personal foul and automatic first down.
Defensive or offensive off sides is a 10 yard penalty.
Flag guarding is 15 yard penalty marked from spot of foul and loss of down.
Illegal blocking by offense or defense is 10 yard penalty and loss of down.
Holding is a 10 yard penalty and loss of down.
Tackling is a 15 yard penalty, automatic 1st down and possible ejection.
Defensive pass interference will be a 15 yard penalty from the line of scrimmage with an automatic first down.
Offensive pass interference will be a 10 yard penalty from the line of scrimmage with loss of down.
OVERTIME
There will be a coin toss to determine who gets the ball first, winner of the toss gets choice of being offense or defense first.
The ball will be spotted on the 15 yard line.
Each team will have a chance to score.
Winner will be the first team to score a touchdown and stops the other team from scoring.
MIXED SOCCER
TIME
Twenty-five (25) minutes halves with a five (5) minute halftime break.
SCHEDULE
The Athletic Director will develop the schedule of the tournament.
RULES
The rules for boy’s high school soccer from the State of Oklahoma will be used with exception of the time.
OFFICIALS
The Regional Athletic Director will be responsible for the soccer officials.
ROUND ROBIN FORMAT
Men’s and Women’s Basketball & Flag Football
The teams will be divided into pools.
Every team will play all the teams in their pool.
The team that wins the game will receive one point.
At the end of round robin tournament, the following will determine the Extravaganza Champion:
The two teams with the most points will advance into the semifinals of each pool.
In case of tie:
1. Tie-breaker (2 teams tie) head-to-head competition
2. Tie-breaker (3 teams tie) the team with highest point total plays each other.
(10+=2 pts, 5+=1 pt.)
3. Coin toss.
The first place team in Pool A will play second place team in Pool B.
The first place team in Pool B will play second place team in Pool A.
Winners of semifinals will play for championship.
Women’s Volleyball
The teams will be divided into pools.
Each team will play all of the teams in their pool.
At the end of round robin tournament, the following will determine the Extravaganza Champion:
The team with the most wins in their pool will advance to the quarter finals
In case of a tie (two teams tie):
1. Winner of the game that was played between each other will advance.
In case of tie (three teams tie):
1. Winner of the game that was played between each other will advance.
2. The team with the best record (win percentage) between each other.
3. The team with the best record (win percentage) in all round robin matches.
Coin toss, all three coaches will toss a coin and the odd man is out, if all three coaches have heads or tails, they will continue to toss until one man is odd man out.
ACADEMICS
Due to lack of participation the past few years there will be no Academic Competition.
